"! A Three Day Walk in the Park with Laura!"
Last July, I walked over 60 miles in 3 days to help find a cure for breast cancer.
It was a difficult, amazing, powerful and joyful weekend -- one that will stay with me for years to come. It made such an impact on me, I've decided to repeat the experience! The weekend of July 11 - 13, 2002, I will again walk those 60 miles from San Jose to San Francisco with more than 3,000 other people to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. The net proceeds from the from the Avon Breast Cancer 3-day walk will support non-profit breast health programs in every region of the country, and medical research on breast cancer. The Avon Products Foundation, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, will award grants to these types of organizations. This year over 182,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Over one million American women have the disease RIGHT NOW and don't even know it. I’ve promised to raise $2000 in pledges. But, I need your help! Would you please consider making a fully tax-deductible pledge to help me meet my goal? You can donate online at www.bethepeople.com/donations/online.html...or, right here! Click on the 'donate' link at the left. Keep in mind how far I’m walking and how hard I’ll have to train for the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day. Support me, won't you?
